D K Hair Salon

This shop is right on the Main Road in Bairagarh, over in the Sant Hirdaram Nagar part of Bhopal. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always something going on outside. D K Hair Salon is a pretty simple setup. We’ve got the usual mirrors and the heavy chairs that don’t move easily. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. We get a mix of people here, from students to older men who have lived in Bairagarh their whole lives. The main road is always loud with buses and cars, and you can hear the vendors shouting outside sometimes. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work. We use standard soaps and creams for shaves. Nothing fancy or expensive. Sometimes the water heater takes a while to get going in the winter, but we make do. It’s a small business, just a few of us working hard to keep things going. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just some old chairs and maybe a newspaper from yesterday. People come here because they know us and it’s convenient. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to give a decent haircut so people can go about their day. It’s how we’ve always operated here in Bhopal. No nonsense, just hair cutting.
