Aliga Hair Saloon

Aliga Hair Saloon is up on the first floor of Metro Plaza, which is Shop No 13. We are right in the middle of Bittan Market in Bhopal. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, which is a bit of a climb but it keeps the noise of the market floor away. From the window, I can see all the vendors and people shopping for clothes and food below. It is a very busy area, especially on the weekends when the market is packed. The salon itself has a few good chairs and big mirrors that catch the light coming through the front glass. I have been cutting hair here for quite some time and have seen many styles come and go. I usually keep my scissors and clippers in a specific tray so I don't lose them. The floor is covered in tiles that are easy to sweep because hair gets everywhere by midday. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how things are here. Most of the men who come in just want a regular shave or a side-part haircut. I don't do anything too crazy. I like the routine of opening the shutters in the morning and seeing the market wake up. It is a decent way to spend the day, talking to people and doing a job with my hands.
