Things usually go on pretty quietly in the village here, except for when the big trucks come through. We've been here in Gyangarh for a while now, sitting right at the post office area. Most people in the village know us because of the marble and granite we keep out in the yard. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and manual labor every day. We spend most of our mornings unloading trucks that come in early. The dust gets everywhere, and by the end of the day, our clothes really show it. Being out here in Taluka Mandal means we know our neighbors and the families around us. We aren't a big fancy office with glass walls. We just have a yard and the stones we work with. If you come by, you'll probably find us moving slabs around with the crane or checking the stock for any cracks. It's hard work but we are used to it. The weather gets really hot in the summer, making the yard feel even bigger and the stones even heavier. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles get high and it takes a while to find a specific piece. People stop by asking about different textures or colors for their houses. We show them what’s available on the ground. There isn't much more to it than that. We just focus on getting the slabs out. Sometimes the logistics of getting trucks into the village can be a bit of a headache, but we manage.
