Bharuch is an industrial town through and through. Our location here at Meghmani Finechem Ltd. is right in the thick of it. You can see the factory chimneys from the office windows most days. It’s not the most scenic view, but it shows the work being done. The office itself is pretty basic. We have linoleum floors and fluorescent lights that flicker a little bit when you first turn them on. We’ve been here for years, so the place has a bit of a worn-in feel that we like. There are always safety posters on the walls and clipboards hanging by the door. We aren't big on corporate retreats or fancy office perks. Most of the guys here wear work boots and hard hats when they head out to the site. We spend a lot of time in meetings around a big wooden table that has scratches all over it. The canteen food is actually pretty good, especially the dal they serve on Thursdays. We all know each other's names and families because Bharuch is like that. It’s a hard-working atmosphere where we focus on the chemistry and the production without making a big fuss about it. We just keep the machines running and the logs updated every single day. The commute isn't bad because most of us live just a few kilometers away. It gets dusty outside because of the heavy trucks passing by, but we are used to the noise.
