Working at Luna Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd. means spending a lot of time in the GIDC Estate. We are spread across Ch. No. 6, 7, 8, and 9. Having these sheds right next to each other helps us keep track of what’s going on without having to walk too far. It’s a real industrial atmosphere here, with the smell of work and the sound of machines everywhere. It isn't a place for suits and ties. Most of us are in practical clothes because things can get a bit messy when you’re dealing with chemicals. The estate is huge, and sometimes it feels like a maze if you don't know where you're going. We just focus on our own corner of the GIDC. There is always a truck being loaded or some maintenance work happening on one of the units. We don’t really spend time making the place look pretty for visitors because that isn't the point of what we do here. It’s about the production and making sure the batches are right. We’ve been in these numbered units for a while now. It’s a straightforward life, coming in early and leaving when the work is finished. Being part of the industrial estate means we are surrounded by other businesses doing the same kind of hard work every day. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the various tasks that pop up throughout the shift. It is a long day every day, but that is how things get made around here.
