Surendra Singh’s place at Kathawatiya Sawdeeh is where we run Kathwatiya Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is located in the Mahuwa Daber area. This is a place where the roads are narrow and the fields are wide. We are a small group of farmers who live and work right here. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy building. Most of our work happens out in the open air, checking on the plants and talking to the neighbors. When we need to do paperwork, we go to the house in Kathawatiya. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. You might hear cows in the background or the sound of a pump running. We don’t use any corporate talk. We just say things as they are. Farming is a gamble most years, and we are just trying to stack the odds in our favor by working together. Surendra Singh helps keep everything organized. We look at things like how to get better seeds or how to share the cost of transport. It is all very practical. We have known each other for years, so there is a lot of trust. We don’t need any big promises. We just need the work to get done so we can take care of our homes. It is a tough life sometimes, but it is the life we know. We are just local farmers looking out for one another in Mahuwa Daber. Every day brings a new challenge but we handle it.
