Vinyasa is located at 157, Vignesha Coconut Avenue Road in Malleshwaram. We’re quite close to the Big Bazaar, so it’s easy for people to find us when they’re out doing their regular shopping. Malleshwaram has that old Bangalore feel that I really love, with the big trees and the traditional houses. Our office is a modest space on a road that gets quite a lot of traffic during the rush hours. I started this practice because I wanted to work on things that felt real and useful for the people living around here. Inside, the walls are covered with sketches and blueprints that we’ve pinned up over the months. There are samples of wood and tiles scattered across the big table in the center of the room. It’s usually a bit of a mess, but it’s a creative mess. We have a couple of old computers and some drafting boards that still get used. My small team and I spend a lot of time arguing over where a window should go or what color a wall should be. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background. It’s not a corporate environment at all; we’re often in our shirtsleeves with coffee stains on our notebooks. We don't have a receptionist, so if you walk in, one of us will just look up from our desk and say hello. It's a busy, noisy, and very human way to spend the day.
