Origin Architects

We are over in Jayanagar 9th Block, right opposite the Ragigudda Temple. The building is called Sanjeevini, and we are at number 2035 on the 26th Main. Being near the temple means it’s a lively area, especially on festival days. Our office is on the South End F Cross side. It’s a decent-sized space for an architecture firm. We have big windows that let in a lot of light, which is great for looking at drawings. There are always rolls of tracing paper and markers lying around. We’ve been here for several years. It feels like a part of the neighborhood. The staff usually gets tea from the stall nearby. We spend our time working on designs for all sorts of buildings. It’s not a very formal place. Most of us wear jeans and we don't have a receptionist. If someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door says hello. We have a lot of books about design on the shelves, but they’re mostly covered in dust because we’re too busy working. It’s a practical, busy office. We don't do big speeches about our style. We just sit down with a pencil and start drawing until the client is happy. It’s a good way to work. We try to be helpful and just focus on the drawings instead of trying to sound like a big corporate office.
