Dimensions Vinnuponnappa Architects

We are located at 21/3 Church Road, right behind that 24/7 petrol bunk in Basavanagudi. It is a handy landmark because everyone knows where to fill up their tanks. Dimensions Vinnuponnappa Architects has a bit of an old-school feel to it, maybe because of the trees around here. There is usually some music playing softly in the background while we work on the latest set of dimensions. It is not a huge place, just a few rooms filled with cabinets of old files and some rolls of tracing paper. We spend a lot of time on our feet, walking around sites or just pacing the floor while thinking about a tricky corner in a house plan. The petrol bunk noise is constant but it becomes like white noise after a while. We are not big on formalities here. If someone comes in, we just pull up a stool and start talking about what they need. Sometimes we spend the whole morning just re-doing a single section because the client changed their mind about a window. It is just the way the job is. The snacks from the nearby bakeries are a regular feature of our afternoons. We mostly focus on residential work around this part of Bangalore. It is nice to see things being built just a few streets away from where we sit and draw them. It keeps us grounded in the neighborhood and the work we do every day.
