Chidanand Architect

Chidanand Architect is located on Ali Askar Road. It’s a nice street with a lot of trees, which makes coming to work a bit better. The office is in an older building, so it has some character, and also some plumbing issues every now and then. We’ve been here for a while. The space is filled with rolls of paper and models that we built for past projects. Some of them are falling apart, but we keep them around anyway. Working on Ali Askar Road is good because it’s central, but parking can be a real headache for anyone visiting. We spend most of our time at our desks, but we're often out and about looking at different sites. Architecture is a lot of waiting for permits and then a lot of rushing to get things ready for the builders. It’s a bit of a cycle. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just a few of us who like designing things. We have a small kitchen area where we make way too much coffee. The windows are large, which is great for seeing the trees outside, even if the glass is a bit smudgy. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just want to do our work and make sure the buildings we design are solid. That’s really all there is to it. If you see us through the window, we're probably just staring at a drawing.
