Trinkets

We started Trinkets at 2 Jay Ambe Nagar because the rent was okay and it’s a decent spot in Shivaji Nagar. It is not a very big shop but we manage to fit everything on the shelves. Most mornings I get here around nine to sweep the front and open the shutters. The dust from the road gets everywhere so that’s a constant battle for us. We have some regular people who come in from the neighborhood and some who are just passing through. It gets really busy on some days and very quiet on others, which is just how it goes in this part of town. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that, just what you see is what we have. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when it rains hard, but we put a bucket there and keep moving. The address is pretty easy to find once you know the area, though some people still get turned around looking for Jay Ambe Nagar. We’ve been at this location for a while now and the neighbors are good people. We usually close up when it gets dark unless there are still people walking around. It’s just a normal place run by normal people trying to make a living. Nothing too special about the building itself but it works for what we need to do every day. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the way we run things here at Trinkets.
