Chitra

Chitra is located at 193 Malleshwaram Link Road, right on the 2nd Cross. We are pretty easy to find because we are directly opposite the Anjenya Co-Op Bank. Malleshwaram is one of those old-school parts of town that still has a lot of character and history. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The Link Road can get incredibly busy, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. We have a small shopfront here. It’s nothing fancy, just a door and a window with our name on it. Inside, it’s a bit cluttered with stuff, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of our day dealing with folks who walk in off the street. Being across from the bank is helpful because people often use it as a landmark to find us. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people just see the sign or hear about us from a neighbor. The 2nd Cross has its own little community. We know the tea stall guy and the other shop owners around here. It feels like home to us. We aren't looking to expand into some giant corporation. We just like being Chitra, right here in Malleshwaram. We open up in the morning, do our work, and talk to the regulars who have been coming for years. It’s a simple life and we are happy with it. If you’re ever near the bank, just look across.
