The Candle Shop

If you walk down towards the Commercial Street entrance, you will find us near Shivananda Circle. The Candle Shop is tucked away on Jivaji Lane. It is a busy little corner of town. We have all sorts of candles sitting on the shelves. Some are big, some are small, and they all have different smells that kind of mix together in the air. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can onto the racks. The lighting isn't always the best, but it makes the place feel a bit more cozy. We get a lot of people walking in who are just looking around while they shop for clothes nearby. We don’t really do much advertising. People just seem to find us. Sometimes we’re busy packing up orders for people who want a lot of candles for a wedding or something, and other times it’s just quiet with a few regulars coming in for their favorites. The floors are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We spend a lot of time dusting the jars because they seem to attract it. It’s a simple shop and we like it that way. No one wears a uniform here, we just wear whatever is comfortable for moving boxes around. It can get a bit loud with the traffic from the circle, but inside it’s usually okay. We stay open until the evening most days.
