Durbar

Durbar is tucked away in Malleshwaram on Mari Matas Lane, specifically at 26/1. If you know this area, you know how these lanes can get, especially when there’s a festival or just a regular busy market day. It’s an old part of the city, and our building feels like it has been through a lot of seasons. The walls aren't perfectly straight, and the lighting is just what we could manage, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the pace of the lane. People are always walking past, peaking in to see what's happening. The lane itself is narrow, so it’s mostly foot traffic and the occasional scooter squeezing through. Inside, it’s just us trying to stay organized. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that, just a few of us who know how to handle the rush. The sink in the back makes a bit of noise, and the front door squeaks if you don't pull it just right. We usually have a pile of crates near the entrance that need moving. It feels like a real part of Malleshwaram, not like those new places in the malls. We just show up, open the shutters, and stay until the work is done. It’s noisy and a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how a busy kitchen in a busy lane usually looks. We are just here doing our thing on the corner.
