Sunderella

Down in Malleshwaram at Gana Wadi, on LBS Marg 170, you’ll find Sunderella. It’s a shop that’s been part of the local scenery for a bit. We carry a variety of items, mostly things that people need for their daily wear or special occasions. The name sounds a bit fancy, but the shop itself is quite grounded and simple. Malleshwaram has that old-school Bangalore feel, and we try to stick to that. The shelves are filled with boxes, and we have a few mirrors around the place so people can see what they’re looking at. The floor is made of those old patterned tiles that you don’t see much anymore. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand, but people find their way here eventually. We have a big window at the front that we use to show off some of the newer stock. In the afternoons, the shop gets a bit warm because the sun hits that side of the building. We usually keep a couple of chairs near the entrance for anyone who needs a rest while their family is looking around. It’s a quiet kind of business. We don’t do any loud music or big displays. Just the items on the shelves and us behind the counter. LBS Marg can be a bit tricky with the numbers, but 170 is right there near the landmark. We just keep things running as usual.
