Shop No 4

Our place is right there at the Gandhi Nagar Sirrond charrasta, which is a mouthful to say but easy to find. We are just Shop No 4, sitting right on the corner where the traffic always seems to be backed up. It's a small space, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang things or stack them up high. Being at the crossroads means we see all sorts of people every day. Some are just stopping for a second while the light is red, and others are regulars from the nearby offices. The door is almost always open to let a bit of a breeze in, though it brings in the dust from the road too. We have a small desk where we handle everything, and it’s usually covered in notebooks and pens. The floor is a bit uneven in the back corner, so we have to be careful when we move the heavier crates. It’s a busy life, keeping track of what’s sold and what needs to be ordered. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything like that, just regular clothes that are comfortable for a long day of standing. Sometimes we run out of change and have to go to the shop next door to break a big note. It's just a normal shop doing normal business in a very busy part of the city. We have been here for a while and the routine suits us just fine.
