Sumitra

You can find us at 216 Langford Street, inside the Abhishek Market. We are right opposite the Archana Complex. Sumitra is just a small business that has been operating from this market for a while. The market is always loud and there are people everywhere, which we like because it makes the day go by faster. Our space is filled with whatever we are working on that week. It’s a bit cramped because the market stalls are all packed together, but we make it work. We have a lot of regulars who come in just to say hello while they are doing their shopping at Archana Complex. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door if the wind is blowing the wrong way. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything. You just walk in and someone will be there behind the counter. We use a lot of handwritten notes to keep track of things. It’s not very high-tech, but it works for us. The neighbors in the market are good people and we often share tea in the afternoons. It feels like a little community here. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure we don’t lose any of our tools in the mess. It’s a humble setup but it’s ours. We have been on Langford Street long enough that the street noises don't even bother us anymore.
