Studio Chintala

You’ll find Studio Chintala at No- 656 on the rooftop of a building along 100 Fit Road. Being in Indira Nagar 1st Stage means there’s always a lot of energy around us. The rooftop spot is actually quite nice because we get a bit of a breeze and a view of the trees and the tops of other buildings. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, which is a bit of a workout every day. The studio itself is just a big open room where we keep our computers and all our reference books. We have a lot of samples sitting around—different materials and colors that we’re testing out. It feels more like a workshop than a formal office. There’s always someone hovering over a screen or arguing about where a wall should go in a drawing. We don’t have a lot of rules about how things look, so there might be some empty coffee cups or stacks of old magazines lying around. When the sun starts to go down, the light on 100 Fit Road gets really bright for a while before it gets dark. We usually stay late if there’s a lot to do, and you can hear the sounds of the city starting to quiet down below us. It’s a simple setup, really. We just like having our own space up here away from the noise of the main street while we handle our daily work.
