Stalk N Spice

Our place is at Shivaji Nagar, specifically 1 ST Main Road, 3 rd B Cross, 403. It sounds like a lot when you say the whole address out loud. It’s one of those spots that’s tucked away a bit. You have to navigate the turns properly or you’ll end up on the wrong cross. We’ve been here for a while now. The building is older, and the stairs are a little narrow. Every morning involves getting the supplies up and sorted. We deal with a lot of spices, so the air usually has a bit of a kick to it. It makes you sneeze if you aren't careful when opening the bags. We spend hours just grinding and mixing. It’s physical work. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Most of the day is spent checking the quality of the stalks and the dried peppers. If something doesn't look right, we don't use it. It’s not about being perfect, it’s just about not wanting to waste time on bad ingredients. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the bills and the ledger. It’s messy, with pens and scrap paper everywhere. That’s just how we work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. We just want to make sure the bags go out on time.
