If you head down to the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Vatva, you’ll find us at Plot No. 1815 in Phase-II. That’s where South India Aromatics Co. operates. Being in Vatva means being part of a huge network of factories. It’s hot, dusty, and always sounds like something is being built or moved. We work with aromatics, so there’s usually a specific scent hanging around our plot that’s a bit different from the chemical smells of our neighbors. We’ve been here since the early days of Phase-II. The building is practical, designed for work rather than looks. We have drums and containers lined up in the yard. Most of our day is spent checking batches and making sure the mixing is right. It’s a hands-on job. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that; we just have people who know how to handle the materials. The canteen nearby is where we usually end up for a break. We’ve seen the estate grow and change over the years, with new roads and more power lines. Our team is a mix of old-timers who have been here for twenty years and some younger guys from the local area. We don't do anything fancy, just the daily routine of production and dispatch. It gets tiring during the summer months when the sun hits the tin roofs, but we get through it. That is just how life is in the estate.
