Silk Craft Designer Boutique

Silk Craft Designer Boutique has been around for a bit on 7th Main. We are upstairs on the first floor. It is a small place, mostly just fabric rolls and sewing machines everywhere. People come in to look at the patterns or ask if we can make something for a wedding. It gets busy in the afternoons. Sometimes we have a lot of silk spread out on the tables and it is hard to walk through. We do a lot of designing here, just cutting and pinning things until they look right. It is not fancy, just a workshop really. The stairs are a bit narrow but once you are up here, there is plenty to see. We have been working with different materials for a long time. Some days the machines are loud and we can barely hear each other talk. We mostly focus on getting the stitching straight and making sure the fit is okay. If you need something specific, you just have to ask. We try to keep the place organized but with all the thread and scraps, it is a mess sometimes. It is just how we work. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We just keep doing what we do every day. There are always buttons and needles lying around, and the tea gets cold because we are busy sewing. It is a good place to be if you like clothes.
