Pokhran Gallery

I work at Pokhran Gallery over at 133 7th Main in the 5th Block of Jayanagar. It is a nice part of the neighborhood with a lot of trees around. The gallery is a place where we keep various items on display. I spend a lot of time walking around the floor making sure everything is where it should be. Jayanagar 5th block is usually pretty calm compared to other parts of Bangalore but the 7th Main can get its fair share of cars. The building itself is a standard size and we have large windows in the front. I like the way the light comes in during the morning hours. It makes the space feel bigger than it actually is. I don't really have a big team here. It’s just a couple of us who take turns being at the desk. We don't have any loud music playing or anything like that. It’s a quiet place where people can just look around. I often have to dust the shelves because the windows let in a bit of street grime. Sometimes neighbors stop in just to say hello or ask about something they saw in the window. I’ve lived nearby for years so it’s a short commute for me. I don't think we need anything fancy to run the place. It’s just about being here and keeping the gallery open for whoever wants to visit and see what we have.
