Orchids & Lilly

You can find us over in JP Nagar 6th Main, specifically in A Block of the 2nd stage. The address is 71/1 and 2A, which sounds a bit confusing but it's basically just one big space where we keep all the plants and flowers. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and checking on the stock. It’s a lot of manual labor, honestly. There is dirt under our fingernails most of the time. We handle orchids and lilies, obviously, but a lot of other greenery too. The air in here always smells a bit like wet soil and petals. We aren't a polished boutique where everything is perfect. It's more of a working shop. We're usually busy putting arrangements together or figuring out which plants are looking a bit sad and need extra water. Customers come in looking for something for their homes or for a gift. We just talk to them about what they like and what kind of light they have in their rooms. It's a simple business. We like living and working in JP Nagar because the community is quite active. The 6th main gets busy in the evenings, but we’re usually winding down by then. It’s just us, the plants, and a lot of watering cans. We try to keep things grounded and just do a good job for the neighborhood. It is nice to see people come back to tell us their plants are growing well. That makes the long hours worth it.
