We are over at number 20 in Goragunta Palya. It’s a small spot that we’ve occupied for a long time now. The building is old and the storefront is pretty basic. We spend most of our day managing the freezers and making sure everything stays at the right temperature. It’s a simple job, but it requires a lot of attention. If the power goes out, we have to move fast. Goragunta Palya is a loud area with a lot of trucks passing by, so there’s always dust in the air. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and the glass lids of the freezer units. There aren't many of us working here. Usually, it's just me and one other person during the day. We don't have a fancy seating area or music playing. It’s just a place where people come to get something cold. My father was the one who originally got this place going. I took it over after he couldn't do it anymore. Not much has changed since then. We use the same equipment and follow the same routine every day. It’s not a big corporate business with lots of branches. It’s just this one shop. We stay busy enough to keep things moving. The work is steady and it’s what we know how to do. We just open up in the morning and stay until late most nights of the week.
