Flowers Greens

Our shop is down at L1-04 on the ground floor of Splendid Plaza. It’s right on 100 Feet Road in the 5th Block of Koramangala. If you know that area, you know how loud and fast everything moves. We have been here for a while, tucked into our corner of the plaza. Every day starts with moving the bigger pots around so people can actually walk through the door. We have a mix of green plants and cut flowers, which keeps us pretty busy with watering. The light in this part of the building is okay, but we still have to keep an eye on the ferns. Working on 100 Feet Road means we see all sorts of people walking by. Sometimes it’s just someone in a hurry, other times it’s someone looking for a specific kind of leaf. We keep things pretty simple. There is no big corporate office behind us, just us here in the shop. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the soil bags we move around. We spend our afternoons untangling vines or cleaning up the glass vases. It’s a lot of standing and moving, but we don’t mind. Splendid Plaza is a good spot for us. We just try to keep the plants alive and the shop open on time. The glass windows get smudged from people leaning in to look, so we have to wipe them down every few hours. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the foliage, but it makes the place feel more alive. We just rely on the fact that Koramangala is busy.
