Karnataka Mattresses & Furnishing

Located at number 66 on Hosur Main Road, right next to the Mico main gate, our shop at Karnataka Mattresses & Furnishing is always in the middle of the Adugodi rush. The trucks passing by to the factories make the windows rattle sometimes. We have a lot of stuff packed into the space, from thick cotton mattresses to different kinds of home furnishings like curtains and cushions. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around to show people what we have in the back. The floor is usually covered in some bit of thread or fluff from the fabrics we handle. We open up early because the road gets so busy later on that it's hard for delivery vans to park. Most of our day is spent talking to folks who live nearby or work in the industries around here. They come in looking for something simple for their homes. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fan going and wait for the breeze from the door. We've been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors all know us. It’s just a practical place for people to get what they need for their beds without any fuss. By the time we shut the gates at night, the road is still loud and we are ready to head home.
