Golden Eye

Golden Eye is located at 1, 16th Cross on R.T. Street. If you have ever been down this way, you know the streets are narrow and always packed with people moving goods. It is the kind of place where you have to watch your step because of the handcarts and the motorcycles zipping past. Our shop is small but we make the most of the space we have. There are shelves reaching up to the ceiling and we usually know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in for the first time. R.T. Street has a very specific smell of old paper and dust, and we have grown used to it over the years. We open up early because that is when the most activity happens before the heat of the day really sets in. Sometimes the 16th Cross gets blocked by a delivery truck, and everything just stops for ten minutes while they unload. We just stand by the door and chat with the neighbors until things move again. It is not the kind of place you come for a fancy experience. You come here when you need something specific and you know we will have it tucked away somewhere. We do not use computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers or kept in our heads. It is just a simple, old-school way of doing things in a busy market. It keeps us on our toes.
