Sri Ganga Silk

The shop is called Sri Ganga Silk and it is tucked away at No. 69/1 on the 13th Main. We are right there on 50 Feet Road. When you walk through the door, the first thing you notice is the smell of the fabric and the rows of colorful silk on the shelves. It’s a quiet place in the mornings, but it gets a little more crowded later in the day. We don't have any big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just show the silk to anyone who comes in looking for it. Some people stay for a long time just to touch the different materials and look at the patterns. We don't mind at all. It’s better to take your time with these things. The shelves are a little worn out now, but they do the job just fine. My cousin helps me out when things get busy, especially during the wedding seasons. We’ve seen many businesses in this neighborhood come and go, but we’ve stayed right here on 13th Main for years. It’s a good spot for a small shop like ours. We don't try to be a big corporate store. We just want to offer a nice place where people can find what they need without a lot of pressure. It’s a plain and simple business and that suits us just fine.
