G.P. Architect

I've been working out of this space at 51/1C in the Main Binny Layout for some time. Vijaynagar is a really active area, and being right here makes it easy for folks to find me when they need help with a building plan. Architecture is one of those things where you spend half your life at a drawing board and the other half walking around construction sites with a helmet on. My setup is pretty simple. I don't go for any of that corporate stuff because it’s just me and a couple of assistants trying to get the drawings right. We spend a lot of time talking to clients about where they want their walls and windows to go. It’s a lot of back and forth, honestly. Sometimes the ideas people have don't quite fit with the building codes, so we have to find a middle ground that works. The office in Binny Layout isn't huge, but it's got enough room for our computers and all the samples of tiles and bricks we keep lying around. It gets a bit dusty with all the samples, but that's just part of the job. I like the local feel of this neighborhood. You get to know the people living nearby and the shopkeepers. It makes the work feel more connected to the community. We're usually here from morning until late evening, unless we're out checking on a project for a bit.
