About Flower Making Course – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
My place is at number 23, right near the Reliance Super Market in the Industrial Town area on Bannerghatta Road. It’s called Flower Making Course because that is exactly what happens here. It isn't a retail shop. Instead, it’s a room with big tables where people sit and learn. I’ve been working with flowers for so many years that I figured I might as well show others how it’s done. The room usually smells like cut stems and damp moss. We have all sorts of people come in, from students to older folks who just want a new hobby. Bannerghatta Road is always noisy with buses and trucks, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit quieter. I don't have a fancy curriculum or printed books. I just show them with my hands and they follow along. It’s a bit of a mess with all the scraps of ribbon and wire on the floor. I spend a lot of time sweeping up after the classes are over. It’s a practical skill to have if you want to work for yourself. I don't use any marketing tricks to get people to come. Most of them just see the sign when they are going to the supermarket. It’s a simple setup in an industrial part of town, but it works for us. I just like seeing people figure out how to tie a proper knot.
