Pollen

Pollen is based out of A-2 Farbella Apartments on Charles Campbell Road. Cox Town is a nice place to be, a bit quieter than some other parts of the city. We operate out of a ground-floor apartment, which gives it a very different feel than a typical office building. There are trees outside the window, and you can hear the birds in the morning before the traffic picks up. We started this because we wanted a space where we could just focus on the work without all the corporate noise. Inside, it’s mostly desks, computers, and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around, but we make it work. Most of our neighbors are just regular families, so keeping things quiet is important. A big sign outside isn't something we have. People usually find us through someone they know. The kitchen in the apartment is where we spend a lot of time drinking coffee and figuring out the next steps for whatever we are working on. It’s a very informal way to run things, but it suits us perfectly. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the specific apartment number, so we spend a lot of time on the phone giving directions. It’s a small, honest operation. We just like doing what we do here in our corner of Cox Town.
