We are over at 16/5 on the corner where Brigade Road and Telco Road kind of meet up. Brand Calculus Icecream Pvt Ltd started because we all just really liked cold desserts. It’s a small space, and the freezers hum pretty loud all day long. Keeping the floor clean is a constant battle because of all the drips. Kids come in and get chocolate everywhere, which is just part of it I guess. We have a few benches outside but they’re usually peeling a bit of paint. The staff here is mostly students or local folks looking for some work. We don't have a huge menu. We just stick to the flavors that people actually ask for. Sometimes we run out of the popular ones by evening and then people get a bit annoyed. It happens. The lights inside are a bit too bright, but it helps us see the sticky spots. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass counters. On hot days, the door is always opening and closing, so the air conditioning struggles to keep up. It feels like a real local spot because we know most of the people who walk by. We aren't trying to be some high-end place. It’s just ice cream in a cup or a cone. We do our own thing and hope the machines don't break down when it’s busy. Brigade Road is always moving, and we’re just here in the middle of it all day.
