Botons & Blue

Botons & Blue is located on the 2nd floor of the Bhagyalakshmi Complex in Chamrajpet. To find us, you have to head to 251, 3rd Main Road, right near the 2nd Cross. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, it’s a different world from the busy street outside. The shop is full of buttons, zippers, and different types of blue fabrics, hence the name we picked. We spend a lot of time sorting through small items and making sure we have the right supplies for people who sew or make clothes. The space isn't huge, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have. Sometimes things get a little disorganized when a big shipment arrives, and we end up tripping over boxes for a day or two. The light comes in through the side windows in the afternoon, which helps when we're trying to match thread colors. We aren't a big chain store. It’s just a few of us who know our way around a sewing kit. Chamrajpet is a historic part of town, and we like being part of the community here. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at the back table working on an order or cutting some trim. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business where we focus on the small details and get the orders out.
