You can find Avinash Silks & Sarees at 78, near the Sriram Nursing Home. We are actually up on the 3rd floor, which keeps us away from the noise of the main road a bit. The address mentions Bibwewadi Kondhwa Road and Gultekdi, but we’re also right by the Cubbonpet Main Road area. It sounds a bit confusing on paper but once you see the nursing home, you’re basically there. We have stacks of sarees and silk fabrics all over the place. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for because there is so much inventory piled up. The stairs to the third floor are a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time coming up. We’ve got a lot of different colors and patterns stuffed into every corner. It's mostly us just working through orders and helping people pick things out. The building is older, but it serves its purpose for us. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding things on the big tables. The ceiling fans stay on all day to keep the air moving. Dust gets everywhere, so we’re always cleaning. It’s a busy spot during the wedding seasons. We don't have a fancy showroom vibe. It’s more of a practical workspace where we keep our inventory safe.
