Womantra

Womantra is located right on Avenue Road, which is always a bit of a mess with all the traffic and people moving around. We are on the first floor of building number 551. If you are looking for us, we are directly opposite the Canara Bank. It’s a good landmark because otherwise, you might walk right past the entrance. Up here on the first floor, it is a bit quieter than the street below, but not much. We spend our days sorting through fabrics and making sure everything looks okay. The space isn’t huge, so we have to stay organized, which is harder than it sounds some days. We’ve been at this for a while now. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or take the bus in. We don't really have a big fancy office. It’s just rows of clothes and some cutting tables. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the window when it gets really heavy, but we’ve got a bucket for that. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to make clothes that people feel alright wearing. If you come by, you’ll see us drinking tea and arguing about which fabric goes best with which pattern. It’s just how we work. Avenue Road is a busy place, but we like being in the middle of it all.
