archituctural designer

This is the workplace of Jaison Dany, located at No 60 in the Ramanashri Layout. We’re situated off Bannargatta Road in the Beleka Halli area of Bangalore. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the other side of town, but it’s a good spot once you get here. I work as an architectural designer, mostly helping people figure out how to build their homes or renovate what they already have. The name on the door is simple because that’s how I like to keep things. I don't go in for all that corporate branding stuff. I’d rather spend my time on the actual designs. My office is basically just a room filled with my tools, a desk, and a lot of sketches. I’ve lived and worked in this part of Bangalore for a while, so I know the local vibe. People usually find me through word of mouth, coming by to ask about a wall they want to move or a new floor they want to add. It’s just me and sometimes a bit of help, so things stay pretty personal. I like being able to talk directly to everyone who comes in without any middleman. The layout here is quiet enough that I can get my thinking done, but close enough to the main road that I’m not totally isolated. I've spent many afternoons sketching out ideas for people who live right here in the neighborhood. It's a straightforward way to run a practice, and it keeps life interesting.
