You can find us at A 23 in the T.V.K. Industrial Estate over in Guindy. Being in an industrial estate means there is a lot of noise from the neighboring units, but we don't mind it. It feels like everyone is busy working on something. Inside our unit, we deal with clothes and fabrics. There are racks everywhere and the hum of sewing machines is pretty constant throughout the day. We started out small and just stayed in this spot. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a few fans going to keep the air moving. Our team is mostly local people who know their way around a garment. We don't do much in terms of fancy decor; the walls are mostly covered with patterns and fabric swatches. Lunch breaks are usually taken together in the small corner we cleared out. We handle everything from the initial cutting to the final packing. It's a lot of physical work, standing on your feet for hours. Sometimes we run out of thread or a needle breaks, and someone has to run out to get supplies. That's just how it goes here. We aren't a big corporation, just a bunch of people making clothes in Guindy. We try to keep things simple and just focus on finishing the batches we have scheduled for the week. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by pretty fast.
