We run Surabhi Vidyaniketan over in the Chitwadgi area, specifically in Chitwadi here in Hospet. It’s a bit tucked away, which is nice because it’s quieter than the main parts of town. The school is a basic structure where we’ve set up enough rooms for the different grades. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. Most of the furniture is stuff we’ve had for years, but it still works fine. We have a small yard where the students can spend their breaks. The staff are all local people, so we know most of the families who send their children here. We don't have a dedicated marketing person or anything like that. If people want to know about the school, they usually just stop by and ask us. We spend a lot of time making sure the registers are updated and the classrooms are ready for the next day. Sometimes the water supply is a bit finicky, and we have to sort that out, but that’s just part of living in Hospet. It’s a straightforward life running a school. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy promises. We just keep the place open and make sure the students have their books and a place to sit. It’s a regular part of the Chitwadi community and we plan on staying that way for a long time. It’s just simple, daily work.
