Sri Ujini Jagadguru It College is located in Ittigi, which is in the Hadagali Taluk of Bellary. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you aren’t from around this part of the district. The college is set in a rural area where life is pretty slow and straightforward. We focus mostly on IT subjects, which might seem strange for such a quiet place, but it’s what we do. The building is basic. We’ve got a small computer lab that we try our best to keep running. Dust is always a bit of an issue in this part of Bellary. We are constantly wiping down the monitors. Our staff are mostly local people who live nearby. We don’t have any big corporate offices or polished managers. It’s just a small team of us handling the admissions and teaching the classes. We go about our work in a very practical way. If the internet goes down, we wait for it to come back up. If a student is struggling, we just sit down and talk to them. It’s a very human way of doing things. The 583220 area is a tight-knit community, and we feel like a part of that. We aren't here to make big sales pitches. We just want to make sure that the people in Ittigi have a place to learn some skills without having to travel too far.
