Sbs Pu College

Sbs Pu College is located out on Kanamadugu Main road in the Bellary district. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main town, but it’s right there in Kanamadugu where people need it. Bellary can be a very dusty and hot place, and our college is no exception to that. We spend a lot of time just keeping the dust out of the classrooms. It’s a Pre-University college, so the students are only with us for a couple of years. They come in as teenagers and leave ready for university. It’s a fast two years, honestly. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or glossy brochures. If you walk into the office, you’ll probably see a stack of papers and someone drinking coffee. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We have to deal with the reality of being in a more rural area, like when the internet is slow or the transport for students is running late. But we’ve been here long enough that we know how to handle these things. The building is simple and the furniture is basic, but it serves the purpose. We don’t pretend to be some elite institution. We’re just Sbs Pu College, a place for local kids to study and figure out what they want to do next with their lives. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do.
