Navodaya Central School

If you walk down Bolmandaddi Road towards the NGO Colony, you’ll find our gate right near Sri Guru Computers. It is a busy little corner of the neighborhood, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping their children off on scooters or the school vans are trying to turn around in the narrow space. Navodaya Central School has been a part of this community for a good stretch of time. We have a few floors with classrooms looking out over the street. Sometimes you can hear the hum of the computers from next door if the windows are open. The building is painted a simple color and we try to keep the plants near the entrance alive even when the sun is really beating down. Inside, the halls are usually filled with the sound of students reciting their tables or just chatting between classes. We don't have a massive campus with huge trees, but there is enough room for the kids to stand in line for assembly. Most of our staff have been with us for years and they know the parents by name when they come to pick up report cards. It’s a very local kind of place where everyone sort of looks out for each other. We use standard wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. Nothing is overly modern, just practical things that work for a normal school day in this part of town.
