Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School For Girls

Our school is located right off NH 4 in Kittur. It is known as the Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School For Girls. Being in the Belgaum district, we are a bit away from the main city hustle. Since it is a residential school, the girls live here on the campus throughout the term. It is a Sainik school, so things are run with a bit more structure than your average neighborhood school. You will see the students in their uniforms doing drills or heading to the mess hall for meals. The campus is quite large because we need space for all the activities and the dormitories. Living and studying in the same place means the girls get to know each other really well. We have staff who stay on-site too to keep an eye on things. The weather in Belgaum can be quite nice, which helps with the outdoor training we do. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the main town, but being near the highway makes it easier for parents to visit on the weekends they are allowed. We have classrooms for the regular subjects, but the physical part of the day is just as important. It is a busy life for the students here. There is always a bugle call or a bell ringing for something. It’s a very specific kind of environment for education.
