Bharatesh English Medium School

Our school, Bharatesh English Medium School, sits in a side building along the P B Road in Belgaum. Being right off such a main road means it stays pretty noisy with trucks and cars passing by all day long, but we’ve gotten used to it. The 590003 area is a busy part of town, and our location reflects that. The building itself is a bit tucked away, which helps a little with the traffic sound. We have several floors of classrooms connected by some fairly narrow stairs. The kids come from all over Belgaum, and we spend a lot of our time making sure they actually speak in English while they are inside the gates. It’s a constant battle, honestly. We have a small courtyard where we hold morning assembly, and it gets a bit cramped when every grade is out there at once. The teachers have a small corner to keep their bags and eat lunch. Sometimes the water pressure in the taps isn't great, but we make do. We don’t have a big playground, so the kids have to be careful when they play during the break. It’s a practical setup for families who live or work near the P B Road. We just focus on the books and making sure the students show up on time. There’s no fancy stuff here, just a lot of desks, some old chalkboards, and a lot of homework to grade every evening before we head home.
