Salchapra Farmer Producer Company

We’re located near the Simultala PHE in Bhangerpar, at number 175, which is part of the Salchapra area. Salchapra Farmer Producer Company is run from Nashim Uddin Laskar’s house. We’re just a group of local farmers who felt like we needed to organize ourselves better to deal with the buyers and the suppliers. It’s not always easy to run a company when you’re used to being out in the sun all day, but we’re managing. The office is close to the water station, and there’s always people stopping by to talk about the latest harvest or to ask about getting some help with their crops. We don’t have a big marketing budget or any fancy equipment. It’s mostly just us, a few notebooks, and a lot of phone calls to try and get decent deals for everyone involved. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing and we have to ask for help to get it sorted, but that’s just how it goes when you’re starting out. We’re all from around here, so we know the land and we know the people. We just want to make sure that the farming in Bhangerpar stays strong. It’s a lot of trial and error, but we’re learning as we go. There’s no fancy plan here, just a bunch of neighbors trying to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off at the end of the day. We stay busy with the local crops and hope for good rain every season.
