Ekta Kishan Samaj Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group, Ekta Kishan Samaj Farmers Producer Company Limited, is based out of Bazar Paranaxalbari. We use the space at Ashoke Kumar Biswas’s place to run things. It’s a real grassroots effort. Being a farmers producer company means we spend most of our time out in the fields or talking with other farmers in the market area. Naxalbari is a busy place, especially around the bazar where everything happens. We do not have a big fancy building. It’s more of a community thing where everyone knows everyone else. We started this because we needed a way to organize ourselves better. Farming is tough work and doing it alone is even harder. We handle seeds, crops, and trying to get a fair deal for what we grow. You’ll usually find someone hanging around the office area talking about the weather or the price of produce. It’s a very local operation. We don’t use big words or have complicated meetings. We just sit down and figure out what needs doing for the next season. The address at Bazar Paranaxalbari is right in the heart of the action. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on market days, but that’s just how it is here. We are proud of what we’ve built together as a group. It’s about the people and the land. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep it simple and focus on the day-to-day work of farming. We have been doing this for a while and hope to keep going.
