Mrityunjoy Mahadev Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in a village called Yogigaon. Our address is care of the late Nabin Chandra Nath’s place near the Balijan post office. It’s a quiet spot, and most people here know each other. We are a bunch of farmers who decided to join up so we could have a bit more say in how our produce is sold. We aren’t a big corporation with people in suits. We are the same people you see out in the fields every day. Farming in Yogigaon has its ups and downs. Sometimes the soil is perfect, and sometimes we struggle. We use the space at the Nath house to keep our records and meet up. It’s simple and it works for us. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. We'd rather spend our time making sure the seeds are good and the harvest is handled right. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, especially when the weather is changing. We are just trying to do our best for the people in this village. People stop by to chat about the crops or the latest news from the Balijan area. It feels more like a big family than a business most of the time. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to make things a little more stable for the farmers around here who work so hard.
