Chawdang Pather Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in the village of Chawdang Pathar. Our mail comes through the post office with the same name, Chawdang Pathar. This whole area falls under the Ghiladhari mouza. If there’s ever any trouble or legal stuff, the Merapani police station is the one we deal with. It’s a very local operation. We do not have a big marketing team or anyone writing fancy speeches for us. It is just the guys from the village trying to organize the farming work better. The roads around here can be tricky depending on the time of year. Chawdang Pathar is a place where everyone knows everyone. You walk down the path and you'll see folks working in the fields. We just needed a way to bring the farmers together under one name. Merapani is the nearest big point for us. Most days are spent checking on the crops or dealing with the logistics of getting things to market. We do not have a mission statement hanging on the wall. We just have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of work to do. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just wait it out.
