Tata Refractories Ltd

Quarter number B/26 is where you can find us in the T.R.L Township in Belpahar. It’s a regular residential quarter that we use for our operations here. Jharsuguda is a tough place to work because of the heat, but the township is where everyone retreats to. We handle the day-to-day tasks for Tata Refractories Ltd from this spot. It’s a bit cramped with all the files and the computer setups, but it works for what we need. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood outside, kids playing or people heading to the market. We don't put on any airs here. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and going over a spreadsheet. The work is mostly about keeping track of what’s going into the furnaces at the plant. It’s heavy industry, so the paperwork is never-ending. We have to make sure every brick and every liner is accounted for. Sometimes the dust from the plant blows over and covers everything in a thin layer, so we are always wiping down our desks. It’s a functional life. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big lobby or fancy furniture. We just want to get the job done so we can go home to our families, who are usually just a few blocks away in the same township. It’s a tight-knit community and we are just a small part of it, trying to keep things organized.
