If you’re looking for us in Jharsuguda, we’re located at Rattan Mallik’s place, right behind the Santhoshi Mata Mandir on Kali Mandir Road. It’s a very local spot and easy to find once you see the temples. Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd has been set up here for a while. The office is surrounded by the sounds of temple bells and the local market. It’s a busy area in Orissa, and there is always something going on. The office itself is pretty simple, just a few rooms with desks and stacks of papers. We have a lot of visitors coming in because of the landmark, so we usually have a pot of tea ready. The dust from the road gets in everywhere, so we are constantly dusting off the files. We manage the local steel supply and handle all the paperwork for the nearby projects. It gets quite noisy during the festivals because of the temples, but we don't mind it much. The floors are stone and stay cool in the heat. We don’t use any fancy management software; most of our stuff is still done by hand in big registers. It feels more personal that way. We know the people in the neighborhood and they know us. It’s just a regular office in a busy part of town, where we do our best to keep the steel moving and the business running smoothly.
