Amardeep Rice Mill

Amardeep Rice Mill is located at Plot No. 231 in the New Gidc area of Kansari, Khambhat. When the mill is running, you can hear the machines from all the way down the street. It’s a loud, vibrating kind of noise that you eventually stop noticing after a few hours. The air inside is warm and filled with the scent of dried husks and rice. We spend our days watching the grain move through the chutes and making sure everything is flowing correctly. The New Gidc in Kansari is a newer part of the industrial landscape, but it still has that gritty, working feel to it. Plot No. 231 is a large space, which is good because we need all that room for the sacks of rice waiting to be shipped out. There are always trucks parked outside, and the drivers often sit and chat with us while they wait. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just run the mill and make sure the rice is ready. It’s hard work, especially in the summer months when the heat trapped inside the building is intense. We just drink plenty of water and keep the machines moving. It’s a simple business, and we’ve been at it long enough that it feels like home now.
